DARE to Play

DARE to play is a free group for men and kids, that meets monthly on a Saturday morning for fun and activities, because Dad’s Are Really Exciting! We value the important role of father figures in the lives of kids growing up in the community around us, and the need for space for men to support one another through the joys and trials of fathering.

We usually have a fun core activity each month, with additional toys, crafts available and tea/coffee and cake on offer throughout. We mostly meet at one of the Junction Church premises but also head out and about in and around Eastleigh for some gatherings. Our annual model boat race and river dipping gathering is a popular example.

Dad’s, Grandads, father figures are all welcome along with the kids in their lives. The group primarily caters for 0-12 year old children but we have a vision to see a broader age range accommodated in time, so men and kids can walk the full distance of childhood together forming friendships that last a lifetime.
